Suit filed under the Federal Defend Trade Secrets Act and Illinois Trade Secrets Act
TORONTO, ON—March 4, 2021—Nulogy, a leading provider of agile supply chain solutions, has filed a trade secret misappropriation suit against Menasha Corp., a Wisconsin-based provider of graphic consumer packaging, merchandising solutions, contract packaging and fulfillment services, asserting claims under the Federal Defend Trade Secrets Act and the Illinois Trade Secrets Act in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The lawsuit seeks recovery of financial damages and an injunction to halt the use of a custom contract packaging supply chain software solution that, according to the filing, Menasha has built by taking advantage of trade secrets gleaned from Nulogy and its technology.
Nulogy’s cloud-based platform allows consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands and their suppliers to collaborate in order to optimize contract packaging and manufacturing operations. By digitizing operations in traditionally managed production facilities, Nulogy’s platform enables agile, resilient and transparent external supply chains that reduce cost, improve product quality and safety and create a more sustainable operation. Nulogy’s platform serves half of the world’s largest CPG companies and eight of the 10 leading third-party logistics providers across five continents, and has been used in the production of billions of consumer units. Menasha has licensed Nulogy’s technology since 2008.

The lawsuit has been filed under case name Nulogy Corporation v. Menasha Packaging Company, LLC, Menasha Corporation, Deloitte LLP and Deloitte Consulting LLP, Civil Action No. 1:21-cv-01164 (United States District Court Northern District of Illinois).
