RX & Life Sciences

Every Batch Recorded. Every Lot Traced. Every Partner Visible.

Production, batch records and traceability for the packagers and manufacturers who serve pharma and life science brands, and a live view of those partners for the brands themselves.

Nulogy Shop Floor runs the regulated job on the floor. Nulogy Supplier Collaboration shows the brand what's happening with each partner. Both run on the same Manufacturing Operating System. Book a demo and we'll show you how it all works.

The Problem With Paper Batch Records

In Life Sciences, the Record Is Part of the Product

A pharma or life science brand trusts its packagers and contract manufacturers with product it can't see. Cost and deadlines still matter, but a job isn't finished until the record behind it holds up. When that record lives on clipboards and spreadsheets, every question from the brand or the auditor costs you days.

Floor → Quality A batch record comes back with a blank field.

The operator signed off, the line moved on, and nobody saw the gap until review. Now the lot sits on hold while somebody reconstructs what happened from memory and a whiteboard photo.

Receiving → Line A component arrives with the wrong lot or a short expiry.

If receiving is recorded on paper, the production line finds the problem at staging, after the crew is in and the job is scheduled.

Quality → Customer A brand asks for every lot that went into a shipment.

A response means pulling paper from three shifts and matching it to pallet tags. Crescent used to need four hours for a recall. On Shop Floor, the same job takes 15 minutes.

Brand → Partners The brand needs to know what its partners can ship.

Capacity, inventory and order status sit in each packager's own system. The brand finds out by email and phone call — a day late and in a different format from each partner.

Regulated packaging is not ordinary packaging with more paperwork. The paperwork is the job, and spreadsheets were never built to carry it.

What We Cover

Six Moments. One Record.

For the packager, each step runs on the same jobs, the same bills of materials and the same lots. For the brand, those same records are what Supplier Collaboration shows.

1

The Batch Is Running

Shop Floor tracks every job by line as the job runs: output, labor, materials and yield, captured with barcode scanners and mobile-friendly screens instead of clipboards. Production scheduling sits in the same system, so a change to an order, a component or a line changes the plan the floor is working from. Staffing Synergies went live on Shop Floor in 30 days for a global pharmaceutical customer, improved production efficiency by 36.7% and scaled from 10 to 27 production lines.

The Component Has To Be Right

Customer-supplied components, your own packaging and finished goods all move through receiving, putaway and staging in Shop Floor, scanned at each step with lot and expiry attached. Material planning shows what each scheduled job needs against what is on hand, so a wrong lot or a short delivery shows up at receiving instead of at the line.

The Batch Record Has To Hold Up

Line checks, inspections and batch records move from paper to the screen on the line, attached to the job and the lot. Unette Corporation runs Shop Floor for regulatory compliance and real-time traceability. Summit Packaging Solutions, a contract packager, raised batch-record accuracy from 50% on paper to more than 90% after moving quality checks and lot codes into Nulogy. When a program needs more, Quality & Compliance adds review and release with e-signature and audit trail, and issues to CAPA linked to product and batch.

How A Single Record Works

In a regulated job, the component, the batch and the batch record are the same event. Only the paper splits them up.

4

The Lot Has To Be Traceable

Every pallet is scanned from receipt through production to finished goods, so lot genealogy builds itself as the work happens. When a brand calls a recall, the report shows which lots went into which finished goods and where they shipped. Crescent standardized seven sites on Shop Floor and cut recall time from 4 hours to 15 minutes.

The Line Has To Keep Up

When the question is why a line is slow, Smart Factory connects to old and new machines and shows OEE, downtime and scrap by line and shift as they happen, with an alert the moment a line stops. Oral Biotech replaced manual hourly reporting with Smart Factory and raised OEE on one line from about 60% to about 80%. LetsGetChecked used Smart Factory cycle time and downtime data to improve cycle times by 13% at its Dublin facility.

The Brand Needs To See

Brands that outsource packaging and manufacturing need to know what each partner can ship before allocating orders. Supplier Collaboration gives the brand real-time capacity, inventory and production status from its contract packagers and manufacturers, with every order on the same item and BOM data. Partners don't need to buy new software, and the brand's planners keep their planning tool.

Six moments, one record. The component that arrived, the batch that used it, the check that released it and the pallet that shipped it are the same data, and the brand can see that data too.

Questions We Get

Before You Book Anything

Does Shop Floor support Part 11 electronic records?

In the words of Unette Corporation's Director of Quality, Nulogy allows Unette to be compliant with Part 11. Validation of any system against your own procedures stays with your quality team, so bring your requirements to the demo and we will walk through how Shop Floor and Quality & Compliance handle records, review and sign-off.

We already have an ERP. Why would we need Shop Floor?

ERPs are built for companies that make their own products. Covering batch-level labor, customer-supplied components and per-customer records in an ERP takes heavy customization. Shop Floor is built for contract packaging and integrates with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite and others, so the ERP keeps doing what an ERP does.

How fast can we find every lot in a recall?

Because every pallet is scanned at each step, the lot genealogy is already built when the call comes. Crescent cut recall time from 4 hours to 15 minutes on Shop Floor.

How long does implementation take?

Weeks, not months. Staffing Synergies went live on Shop Floor in 30 days for a global pharmaceutical customer. Barcode scanners and mobile-friendly screens replace paper from day one.

We are the brand. Do our packagers have to switch systems?

No. Supplier Collaboration gives you real-time capacity, inventory and production status from your contract packagers and manufacturers without your suppliers buying new software, and your planners keep their planning tool.

Do we have to buy the whole operating system at once?

No. Most packagers start with Shop Floor and add Quality & Compliance or Smart Factory as customer programs, lines or sites grow. The modules share the same jobs, materials and lots, so the next one is a configuration rather than an integration project.
