I’m pleased to announce that last week, I had the honor of being recognized in the 2024 SDCE Pros to Know Awards in the category of Lifetime Achievement.

While the news was incredibly gratifying, it led me to ponder what “lifetime achievement” truly means for most people. Traditionally, this recognition has been reserved for individuals whose careers are approaching their conclusion. As a music enthusiast, I’m reminded of the GRAMMY Awards, where artists like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Harry Belafonte received posthumous lifetime achievement awards. Rest assured, neither scenario applies to me!

In reality, my career is far from over, and retirement is not on my agenda anytime soon. Taking a cue from Usain Bolt, perhaps a more fitting title would be “Living Legend.” It has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? Kidding, of course! On a more serious note, this occasion prompted me to reflect on my supply chain journey and that of Nulogy, and where we are headed.

Reflecting on my supply chain career

If you’ve met me, you might not be surprised to learn that my drive to create and maximize has been a constant since an early age. Whether selling flowers in high school, experimenting with programming, or venturing into manufacturing in the supply chain, I’ve always embraced the philosophy of carpe diem—seizing every day by learning, building, and doing.

This drive has propelled me to where I am today at a relatively young age, and I owe much of it to the important and cherished people in my life—my wife, Andrea; daughters, Sophie and Ava; and the numerous family and friends who have supported me.

Reflecting on Nulogy

In the arts and entertainment industry, lifetime achievement awards often recognize an individual’s singular effort. However, for a company like Nulogy, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Our success stems from the collaboration of a dedicated team—colleagues, customers, and partners—who have contributed to the growth of Nulogy over the past 20 years.

The journey has had its share of ups and downs, but through hard work and dedication, we’ve become the company we are today. Despite our growth, I believe the most exciting times for Nulogy are yet to come.

Recent developments, such as welcoming new customers, partnering with Rubicon Technology Partners, and upcoming product launches, showcase the ongoing evolution of Nulogy. While we acknowledge our achievements, we are steadfast in our belief that the best is yet to come.

Join us on the next step of our journey

For me, “Lifetime Achievement” signifies not an end, but a milestone—a peak from which to reflect on the journey so far and set sights on the next higher peak to ascend.

I want to extend a special thank you to everyone on the Nulogy team, whose tireless passion and drive have helped shape our platform for hundreds of customers. As our industry holds immense potential for growth and evolution, I’m eager to be part of the solution.

With MODEX 2024 in Atlanta approaching, I invite you to connect if you’re attending. My passion for our industry lies in collaborating with like-minded individuals to solve complex problems in the supply chain using modern solutions.

So, with my Lifetime Achievement award in hand, am I about to retire? I wouldn’t bet on it. On the contrary—I’m just getting started!
